Willem-Jan Laan
Economic and agricultural advisor at Unilever (Rotterdam), Willem-Jan Laan is a specialist in the EU Common Agricultural Policy, WTO, biotechnologies, and sustainable agriculture).
He also chairs the Committee on Multilateral Trade Policy of the Federation of Dutch Enterprises / Confederation of Dutch Christian Employers (VNO-NCW) in the Hague.
He is Chairman of the Working Group "Agriculture and the WTO" of UNICE ( "the voice of business in Europe").
Vice-chair of the Trade and Competitivity Committee of the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the EU (CIAA).
Member of the EU’s Advisory Committee for Agriculture as well as the Advisory Committee for oleaginous and protein crops.
Vice-chair of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee of the OECD (BIAC).
Member of the International Food and Agricultural Policy Council (IPC).
